What is Ostuni, and what is on its coast?
Ostuni’s comune calls its historic center the Città Bianca, the White City: a labyrinth of lanes and lime-painted houses climbing a hill. Villanova is Ostuni’s marine frazione, known for its tourist port. The Dune Costiere regional park, which runs along the coast between Ostuni and Fasano, protects dunes, wetlands, century-old olive trees and old underground oil mills.
Torre Guaceto, a state reserve of 1,116 hectares, lies in the comune of Carovigno. The Torre Guaceto reserve, described on Andiamo in Puglia (in Italian) covers the visit itself.

Ostuni's comune publishes an events program that, in its words, livens up the city for the whole summer season. For a quieter stay, Puglia's regional tourism content on italia.it says the sea is still warm in autumn and the climate mild. Only one of the 11 stays confirms its opening months: Masseria Salinola, open all year. Ask the others before you plan a trip outside summer.
Getting there
Brindisi (BDS) is the nearer airport, and Bari (BRI) is the alternative if the connection from your city is better. By train, Masseria Santo Scalone lists Ostuni station 8 km away, and La Sommità Relais offers a shuttle to and from that station through its reception. By car, Ostuni's comune notes that the SS 379 (E55), the road linking Bari and Brindisi, has an Ostuni-Villanova exit for the coast. A car is the practical way to link the hill town, the sea and the countryside. Each stay page shows its distance to both airports when its position is precise.
