Masseria San Paolo Grande dates from the late 1400s and has always been a farm. It covers more than 80 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and arable fields, and the masseria says it produces everything on the spot: organic vegetables, flour from its own grain, olive oil and wine.

La Corte (35 m²) has stone vaults, a handcrafted super king-size bed and garden access from the courtyard. L’Ulivo (40 m²) has exposed star-shaped stone vaults and a view over the valleys from the door. The Deluxe Room (35 m²) is reached from a raised balcony.

The Suite della Torre (60 m²) has an antique canopy bed, a stone fireplace and a panoramic terrace. Ammezzato (30 m²) is reached by a private ancient stone staircase, and its shower is cut into the original niche where farm cheeses were once stored. Eating and drinking

The restaurant describes organic, farm-to-table cooking where each ingredient comes from the property. The menu names bread from the masseria’s own grain, focaccia and hand-pulled pasta. The olive oil and organic wine come from its groves and vineyards, the site says the sea sets the rhythm of the catch, and the animals grow up free.

In summer La Freschiera serves a light, healthy lunch by the pool, looking over the golden valleys. The site calls it informal and refreshing food for hot days, made with the masseria’s own produce.

The setting

The masseria stands on the provincial road between Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica, inside its own estate. It places itself in the Valle d’Itria.

The pool is the landmark. It was cut from the property’s own rock and fed by small cascades between white stones, with a panoramic view. It is cleaned naturally with ozone.

Around the pool and the buildings, the estate keeps its organic vegetable gardens, olive groves and vineyards. The wood has a multi-sensory path that teaches visitors to recognize local species, sorted into trees, herbs and shrubs.

Wellness here means the outdoors. The masseria offers yoga and Pilates, breathing courses and rituals under old oaks or in the wood, led by specialists. Ask whether treatments such as massage are available.
