Open data: the stays file

Updated

The short version

169 stays in one JSON file, free to reuse with attribution. Facts only: no prose, no ratings. A null value means the fact is not verified, never that the answer is no.

Download and licence

/data/stays.json

The file is published under the licence CC BY 4.0.

Credit it as The Puglia Edit (https://thepugliaedit.com/) and keep the link to this page.

It holds 169 stays, one record each. There is one file for all languages: area names appear in every language. Areas, collections and guides are not in the file.

How to read the values

  • null means not verified: we found no primary source for that fact. It does not mean no. Show it as not confirmed.
  • evidence lists, for each factual field, the value, the source URL, the fetch date and a verbatim excerpt of at most 25 words.
  • editor_visit is not_visited unless the editors have stayed there. Nothing in the file implies a visit.
  • needs_human_review true means an editor has not yet checked the record.
  • Distances are straight-line kilometres and are published only when the position is precise (building or street). Otherwise lat, lng and distances are null.
  • The file was last updated on October 27, 2026. Each record carries its own last_verified and updated_at dates.

Price bands

price_band is a number from 1 to 5, a double room in high season per night. price_band_estimated true means the stay publishes no rate we could read and the band is our estimate from its positioning. price_band_scale in the file repeats these ranges.

  1. 1 Under €250 a night
  2. 2 €250 to €450 a night
  3. 3 €450 to €750 a night
  4. 4 €750 to €1,200 a night
  5. 5 Over €1,200 a night
