Why it’s on the Edit

Canne Bianche Lifestyle Hotel is a five-star hotel on the shore at Torre Canne, a coastal district of Fasano. The 2026 Regione Puglia register files it in the five-star hotel category. The hotel’s own site goes one step further and calls it a five-star luxury boutique hotel, a label the register does not carry.

The Mangano family founded it and still runs it. The hotel’s story starts with Antonio Mangano opening a blue wooden door onto a stretch of reeds whitened by salt (canne bianche means white reeds). Today the second generation is in charge, with Gianvito Mangano as Director of Operations since 2019.

That same year the hotel went from four to five stars and joined Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It is on the Edit for that mix: 49 rooms, a full spa circuit and a pool facing the sea, with one family still in charge.

The rooms

The hotel counts 49 rooms, and its room pages show three room and three suite categories. Every room has a Simmons memory foam mattress. The 2026 regional register counts 51 rooms and 100 beds, close to the hotel’s own figure.

The three room types are compact. Classic rooms measure 20 to 23 square meters, with a garden view and a private patio or balcony. Superior rooms (22 to 24 square meters) sit on the first floor with a private balcony, and Superior Plus rooms are the same size on the ground floor, facing the garden.

The sea view starts with the suites. The Junior Suite (27 to 32 square meters) has a side view of the sea from the first floor, and the Executive Suite (35 to 38 square meters) faces the sea, also on the first floor. The Master Suite is the largest at 40 square meters, on the ground floor with a garden view.

The 2021 register lists a safe, a TV, a minibar, heating and a telephone among the room services, plus a lift and rooms equipped for guests with disabilities. If the view decides the trip, book by name: only the Junior and Executive Suites mention the sea.

Eating and drinking

Autentico Wine & Restaurant is the main dining room, open for dinner from 7 pm to 10:30 pm. The kitchen works from Puglian tradition, and the autumn 2026 menu runs next to a pizza menu. The cellar holds more than 160 labels, local, Italian and international.

Giùammare Osteria Contemporanea is the lunch restaurant, on a veranda that looks over the sea. The hotel’s dining page describes fresh Puglian cooking with fresh fish and local ingredients, a few steps from the water. Plan lunch by the water and dinner at Autentico.

Botanico covers the rest of the day. The Lounge Bar serves coffee or a glass of wine in the library, cocktails by the pool and aperitivo on the terrace, with simple food alongside, and the Pool Bar runs all summer.

Breakfast is pastries, fresh fruit and savory dishes built on Puglian products. Among the experiences on its site the hotel lists a cooking class with Lena, a wine tasting and an olive oil tasting.

The setting

Torre Canne is a district of Fasano inside the Parco Naturale Dune Costiere, and the hotel stands on Via Appia Antica, a step from the sea in its own words. The hotel calls Torre Canne a small fishing village, and Italy’s national tourism portal points to the lighthouse that lights the coast at intervals.

The park runs from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo in Ostuni, about 1,100 hectares of centuries-old olive groves, old masserie (fortified farm estates) and archaeological sites. The Fasano tourism site describes long ridges of sand dunes beside the shore, the rivers Grande, Piccolo and Morello running through reed beds and brackish lakes, and migratory birds in some seasons.

The hotel’s private access leads to a cove with a beach it describes as not equipped, which in Italy means no rented sunbeds or umbrellas. The loungers and cabanas are up at the pool.

The archaeological park of Egnazia is in Savelletri, in the same comune, with Roman remains of the Via Traiana and the Basilica Civile, and the Museo nazionale Giuseppe Andreassi on site. The hotel lists a visit to the excavations among its experiences, along with a boat tour and a bike tour among the old olive trees.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Canne Bianche Lifestyle Hotel suits couples who want the sea in front of the hotel, a full spa circuit and dinner without driving. It also works for a short stay on the coast between Bari and Brindisi, with Egnazia and the Valle d’Itria among the experiences the hotel lists.

Look elsewhere if you picture a masseria in the olive groves or a beach with service on the sand. Masseria Calderisi is a 24-room masseria hotel near Savelletri with a small spa and a private beach with sunbeds, parasols and drinks, reached by a free shuttle.

Families should check the room before the dates. The booking form has fields for children from 3 to 9 and infants up to 2, so ask which categories take a cot or an extra bed.

Getting there

Canne Bianche Lifestyle Hotel is at Torre Canne, in the Fasano and Savelletri area. Brindisi is the closer airport, with Bari as the fallback. The Fasano tourism site names both: Bari Karol Wojtyla and Salento-Brindisi.

A car helps, because Egnazia and Savelletri, Ostuni and the Valle d’Itria lie in different directions. Give the full address, Via Appia Antica 32, Torre Canne di Fasano, to a taxi or a sat nav; the hotel also prints its GPS coordinates at the foot of every page. If you would rather not drive, the hotel lists a Valle d’Itria tour and the Castellana caves among its experiences, so ask what transport comes with them when you book.
