Masseria Casacapanna is an agriturismo in Chieuti, in Foggia and the Monti Dauni, on a farm of about 100 hectares in use since at least 1800. It has 7 rooms and 7 suites with independent entrances, a pool, a restaurant with a view of the Adriatic and the Tremiti, and its own dairy, pasta factory and cured meats. It suits guests who want a working farm, not a polished boutique stay.

Masseria Casacapanna is an agriturismo at Chieuti, on the last Daunia hills, where Puglia borders the Frentani area. The complex has existed since at least 1800 and belonged to an old noble family. It has been restored with what the owners call noble materials, and the structure is described as almost intact compared with the original.
The farm covers about 100 hectares of durum wheat, olives, grapes, almonds, sunflowers, sugar beet and legumes. Much of the harvest ends up as food on the table. The price band is 1 of 5, an estimate based on rates that are undated.
There are 14 units. Seven ground-floor rooms have a sleeping area, air conditioning and a bathroom. Seven suites take 2 to 4 people on two floors, with an entrance, a lounge with a sofa bed, a bathroom and a loft with a double bed that looks at the sea.
The furnishings are wrought iron and arte povera. Every suite and room has its own independent entrance.
The rate includes a buffet breakfast, daily cleaning, air conditioning, parking and access to the pool. Check-out is by 10:00. The masseria takes small and medium-sized pets for 20 euros a day.
The restaurant has a large dining room, rebuilt in brick and laminated wood, with a panoramic view of the Adriatic and the Tremiti Islands. Dishes follow local tradition and come from the farm: cured meats made on site, grilled pork fillet, and cicatelli pasta with datterini tomatoes, rocket pesto and cacioricotta.
The farm backs the kitchen. A dairy makes caciocavallo, ricotta and cacio ricotta, a pasta factory makes orecchiette and cicatelli, and a cured-meat workshop turns out sausages, capocollo and soppressata. A bakery makes bread, taralli and biscuits.
Preserves, jams and tomato sauce are made at the masseria, and a vegetable garden is picked daily for the kitchen.
Meals have set hours: breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30, lunch from 12:30 to 13:30 and dinner from 19:00 to 19:30. A tasting room next to the dining room serves visitors who want only to try the farm’s products, and a farm shop sells them.
The farm sits among olive trees, almond groves, vineyards and fields of grain. From the hill you can see the Adriatic with the Tremiti Islands shining in the distance and, toward Molise, the mountain ranges of the Maiella and Gran Sasso.
The masseria also works as an educational farm for school visits, and it lets guests watch the stages of production and processing.
The farm’s own outings page proposes a day at the sea at Marina di Chieuti or Campomarino, a boat trip to the Tremiti from Termoli, a Gargano loop through the Foresta Umbra, Peschici and Vieste, and a long day to the Castellana caves, Alberobello, Fasano and Castel del Monte. It also names Serracapriola and Lucera, and in Molise the Marinelli bell foundry at Agnone.
Guests who want to see where food comes from fit best: couples, families and groups who like a pasta factory and a dairy more than a spa. A quiet week with a car and a taste for a farm kitchen makes it a base for the far north of Puglia and Molise.
Look elsewhere for a beach hotel, nightlife or a boutique feel. For another farm-style stay in the same area, see Masseria Sant’Agapito or Masseria Salecchia, and browse the Foggia and the Monti Dauni hub.
