Why it’s on the Edit

Masseria Torre di Nebbia is a farm built entirely of stone at the beginning of the 1800s, in Corato, in the Alta Murgia and Castel del Monte area. It stands in the Alta Murgia National Park at the foot of the castle, between almond trees and wheat fields. The site calls it an agriturismo, a working farm with rooms, and a bed and breakfast, and it is also a wedding and events venue.

The two owners followed the restoration personally, and the interior designer Domenico De Palo directed the inside, setting a simple, essential design against the white stone of the walls. It sits in the first of five price bands, based on the official rate of 90 euros a night for a double suite with breakfast (season not stated, checked October 27, 2026).

It is a small place to sleep, run next to a busier events business.

The rooms

The five suites were created by De Palo and are listed as double suites. Suite sizes and bed types are not confirmed here.

Included: breakfast, air conditioning for heat and cold, private parking and free Wi-Fi. Linen is changed every two days. Pets are admitted on request.

Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:30, check-in is from 16:00 and check-out by 11:00. Half board with drinks can be arranged. Cancellation is allowed up to 7 days before arrival, and payment is made at the property at check-out.

Eating and drinking

The site describes the kitchen as rediscovering lost flavors of tradition, built on produce from the farm’s vegetable garden and orchard, with a preference for almonds picked in the adjoining almond grove that belongs to the masseria.

Whether the restaurant takes outside diners, and its days and hours, are not confirmed here. The site lists menus for receptions, so the practical option for a guest is breakfast and the half-board plan.

The site links a monthly menu and offers guests an excursion, on booking, to the Spagnoletti Zeuli farm for a visit to the cellar and the hypogeum with a tasting of wine and oil.

The setting

The masseria stands in open country on the SP 234, a white stone building among almond groves and wheat fields at the foot of Castel del Monte. Two large living rooms and a forecourt with an old oak tree serve the events.

For ceremonies there is a climatized veranda with glass openings, and an outdoor setting at the highest point of the property, with the castle on the horizon above the wheat.

The site describes the Murgia scenery as dominated on the horizon by the lone silhouette of Castel del Monte.

A pool, a spa and activities are not confirmed here.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere

Couples and small parties who want a stone masseria with design-led suites, breakfast and Castel del Monte at their door fit well. A wedding party can take the events side. Because the five suites share the property with receptions, light sleepers should ask about event nights before booking.

Look elsewhere if you want a pool, a restaurant open every night or a full hotel program. Biomasseria Lama di Luna lists a pool and a restaurant for its guests.

Getting there

Masseria Torre di Nebbia is on the SP 234 in Contrada Torre di Nebbia, Corato, in the Alta Murgia and Castel del Monte area. Bari is the nearer airport.

You need a car. The farm stands alone in the countryside, and Castel del Monte, Corato and the coast are separate drives. Parking is private and listed with the rooms. For events, the site lists wedding receptions, meetings, congresses, private parties, exhibitions and conferences.
