How to choose a stay by the sea around Gallipoli
Pick between the old town, the coast to the south and the countryside. Every stay here qualifies on distance, and Le Dune Suite Hotel also has a beach establishment. The table on the page gives each straight-line distance.
The old town suits you if you want to arrive at the water on foot. Palazzo Colombo, Palazzo del Corso, Palazzo Flora and Palazzo Presta are the four in or beside it, each with a precise position a very short way from the coast.
Palazzo del Corso stands on the main street, a few steps from the old town. Palazzo Colombo, Palazzo Flora and Palazzo Presta open from March to November, and Palazzo Flora lists three room types between 15 and 25 m².
The coast to the south suits long days on the sand. For the beach at Baia Verde, near Gallipoli, there is Andiamo in Puglia’s Baia Verde entry, in Italian. Masseria Fontanelle is a four-star hotel in a masseria at Torre San Giovanni with a sea-view pool, and Vivosa Apulia Resort, in the same place, is an all-inclusive eco-resort with five clubs for children aged 2 to 17.

The countryside means a short drive to the sea. Masseria Corsano in Nardò and Masseria Macchiaforte near Gallipoli sit nearest the 2 km limit. Macchiaforte, eight self-catering apartments in an old manor house, runs a free shuttle to an affiliated beach.
