How to choose a pet-friendly stay around Lecce

The first choice is town or coast. Four of the five are in Lecce: La Fiermontina Luxury Home, Mantatelurè, Patria Palace and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce. The fifth, Masseria Borgo Sentinella, is a restored 18th-century masseria at Torre dell’Orso, in Melendugno, a short walk from the sea.

In town, Mantatelurè costs least: six rooms and suites in a restored palazzo with a garden and a jacuzzi, in estimated band 2. La Fiermontina is a five-star boutique hotel in a 17th-century farmhouse in the old town, with 19 rooms and a large garden pool, in estimated band 4. Patria Palace and Tivoli are band 3 palazzi, each with a spa.

For a pet and a pool on the same trip, Masseria Borgo Sentinella has five suites, each with a patio and a small pool, in estimated band 2. There is no restaurant: dinner is a home-style table for guests, with a few dishes each evening.

Lecce’s old town sits inside a restricted traffic zone, which matters when you arrive with a car and a carrier, so ask each hotel how to reach it. The other stays of the area are on the Lecce hub, and Pet-friendly stays covers all of Puglia.

What does “on request” mean for a pet in Lecce?

Here it means the hotel’s own website attaches a condition: a weight limit, a fee, notice at booking or certain rooms. All five stays use that wording, and none says pets are welcome without terms. Settle it in writing before you pay a deposit.

Four stays in the area leave pets out of what they publish. They may accept animals, and they are off this list only because we have no statement to quote.

Questions travelers ask

Which stays around Lecce accept pets?

Five stays around Lecce accept pets on request: La Fiermontina Luxury Home, Mantatelurè, Masseria Borgo Sentinella, Patria Palace and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce. Each attaches a condition, such as a size or a fee. The other four stays in the area state no pet policy, so pets show as not confirmed on their pages.

Is there a size limit for pets at these Lecce stays?

Where a limit is stated, it is small. Patria Palace welcomes pets up to 8 kg, and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce takes small dogs and cats up to 20 cm in height. La Fiermontina Luxury Home and Masseria Borgo Sentinella say small pets, and Mantatelurè mentions a small pet in its apartment.

Do these Lecce stays charge for a pet?

Two of the five state a charge on their official pages. Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce asks €40 per night for a small dog or cat, and Patria Palace adds a €35 supplement for extra sanitization. The other three mention no charge on the pages we read, so ask before you book and keep the answer in writing.

Which pet-friendly stay in Lecce has a pool?

La Fiermontina Luxury Home, Masseria Borgo Sentinella and Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce confirm a pool on their official sites. Tivoli's is an indoor heated salt-water pool inside its spa, and Patria Palace also has a spa. The pages we read do not say whether pets may enter any pool area, so ask the property.
